We buy every supplement, gadget, mattress, and meal plan ourselves, use it for weeks in real routines, and publish what actually works - and what does not.
Collagen is an incomplete protein with modest skin evidence, while whey and plant powders suit general protein and training; we compare the research, cost and safety checks.
A 2019 meta-analysis found similar strength gains from bands and dumbbells, so we compare cost, progression, safety and who should pick which for home training.
A cooling topper is the cheaper first fix for hot sleepers, but no head-to-head research proves it beats a cooling mattress; we compare cost, risk and when to replace the bed.
Calm is the deeper, established library, while Aura offers short personalized sessions; we compare features, reported pricing and limits, and note that neither replaces care.
A 2026 Cochrane review found no clear weight-loss edge for intermittent fasting over standard advice, so we compare both methods, the key trials and who should ask a doctor first.
Carlson Elite Omega-3 Gems lists more EPA and DHA per serving at a lower cost per gram, while Nordic Naturals wins on taste; we compare labels, testing and who should ask a doctor first.
Three rules govern every review we publish. They are not flexible.
01
We actually use everything
Every product is bought at full retail and used in real routines for weeks before we write a single word. No claims copied from a label or a sales page.
02
Rankings that cannot be bought
We earn affiliate commissions when you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never touch our scores, and weak products get called weak.
03
Health claims, handled with care
We review products, not prescriptions. Every article separates what the evidence says from what the marketing says, and nothing here replaces your doctor.
The Process
How we test every product
The same six steps, every time. No exceptions, no shortcuts.
1
Buy it like a customer
Full retail price, standard formula or model, no free samples from the brand. We get exactly what you would get.
2
Check the label and the lab
Ingredients and doses against the published evidence, plus third-party certifications like USP or NSF where they exist.
3
Use it in real life
Two to eight weeks of genuine daily use: the supplement with breakfast, the mattress through every night, the app in the actual morning routine.
4
Measure what you would feel
Sleep numbers, recovery scores, taste, satiety, ease of sticking to it. The outcomes a real person notices, not lab benchmarks nobody repeats.
5
Contact support with real questions
We submit real tickets and measure how fast and how well each company responds, from refunds to dosage questions.
6
Count the true cost
Price per serving, per night, or per meal - including subscriptions that quietly renew and shipping fees that show up at checkout.
Meet the Founder
The person behind the reviews
Hey, I am Rishabh Sharma. I started First Reviewers after watching too
many people spend real money on health products chosen from reviews written by people
who never opened the bottle. Every recommendation here comes from weeks of paid, daily
use - and I am a reviewer, not a doctor, so the medicine stays with your physician.
I pay full retail for every product, on the same plans you would buy
I publish the flaws, not just the highlights
If a product is not worth it, I say so, even when the commission is tempting
Short answers to the questions readers send most often.
How does First Reviewers Health choose what to recommend?
We buy each product the same way you would, at full retail, with no free samples from the brand. Then we use it in real routines for weeks - the supplement with breakfast, the mattress every night, the app in the actual morning - before writing anything. The ranking comes out of that use, not out of a label or a press release.
Do affiliate commissions change your rankings?
No. Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The commission never decides the order of a list, and products with generous programs still get called out when they fall short.
Is this site medical advice?
No. We are reviewers, not doctors, and nothing here diagnoses, treats, or replaces a clinician. Our articles separate what the evidence supports from what the marketing claims, and anything that touches a condition you have or medication you take is a conversation for your own physician. Our medical disclaimer spells this out in full.
How do you test products without a lab?
By doing what no lab does: living with the product. We check labels and doses against published research, look for third-party certifications like USP and NSF, and then use the product daily for two to eight weeks while measuring what a real person would notice - sleep scores, taste, soreness, whether the habit survives. Where a lab claim matters, we say what the certified testing already shows rather than pretending we ran it ourselves.
How often are reviews updated?
Prices and formulas get checked monthly on the pages that recommend a purchase, and each article carries a visible last-updated date. Supplement formulas get reformulated and mattresses get quietly renamed, so a stale review is treated as a bug here, same as a stale price.
Can I suggest a product for you to test?
Yes, and reader suggestions get priority. Send the product name and what you need it to do, and it goes into the testing queue. Products that several readers ask about move to the front.
